IHC

Tyrosinase

Identifies tyrosinase, a copper-containing enzyme critical for melanin production, expressed in melanocytic cells and tumors. Mutations in this gene are associated with forms of albinism, and it serves as a target for cytotoxic T-cell recognition in melanoma. Staining detects both melanotic and amelanotic melanoma variants.
